Acceptable Bank Verification Documents

This article outlines the acceptable forms of bank verification documents that may be required for establishing a Confido account and updating an existing Confido Legal account.

When you first establish your Confido Legal account, or when you make changes to your existing bank accounts linked to Confido, we may ask you for a bank verification document to verify the bank account information. The bank verification document can be in the form of any one of the items listed below.

General Requirements

  • Accpetable file types: .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .pdf
  • Size for PDFs: minimum 1 KB, maximum 15 MB
  • Size for other formats: minimum 100 KB, maximum 15 MB
  • The account holder name. This must match your legal entity name.
  • The account number needs to be visible.
  • The date of issuance needs to be visible and needs to be dated within the last 12 months (this requirement may be waived for voided checks and some online banking screenshots).

Bank statements

  • The account holder name. This must match your legal entity name.
  • The account number needs to be visible.
  • The country or state where the bank is located (this may be inferred by the routing number if included).
  • Must contain a bank logo or bank letterhead.

Direct deposit forms

  • Must contain a bank logo or bank letterhead.
  • Can only be accepted with a stamp or signature from the bank.

Screenshots of your online banking portal

  • Some online banking portals include a date of issuance. If this applies to your portal, the date of issuance must be within the last 12 months.
  • Image must show full account number

Official letters issued by the bank or bank account agreements

  • Must contain the bank's logo or be issued on bank letterhead.
  • All letters must have a stamp or signature from the bank.
  • Must be dated within the last 12 months.
  • The country or state where the bank is located (this may be inferred by the routing number if included).
  • Must show the full account and routing numbers.

Checks

  • The name of the account holder printed on the check (not handwritten).
  • The name of the financial institution or logo need to be printed on the check (not handwritten).
  • Security features need to be visible.
  • The account number and routing number need to be fully visible.
