How to Automate Client Review Requests with TrueReview
This guide walks you through setting up TrueReview with Confido to automatically send review requests when clients receive digital disbursements or make a payment.
Overview
When a client receives a settlement payment through Confido, TrueReview can automatically send them an email or SMS with a link to leave a review on your preferred platforms (Google, Capterra, etc.). The entire workflow runs on Zapier with minimal setup.
What you'll need:

A Confido account with digital disbursements enabled

A True Review account (contact Confido for discounted pricing)

A Zapier account (free tier available)
Step 1: Set Up Your True Review Account
Before creating the Zapier automation, configure your review sources in True Review.
1. Log in to True Review
Go to your True Review dashboard and sign in with your account.
2. Add Your Review Sources
True Review lets you collect reviews from multiple platforms. Common sources for law firms include:

Google Reviews

Yelp
-
Avvo
-
Any other platform where your firm has a profile
For each source, TrueReview will create a direct link. When clients click that link, they're taken straight to your review profile on that platform.
3. Set Up Your Campaign
In TrueReview, create a campaign for your automated review requests. This is where you'll define the email and SMS messages that go out to clients.
Example email template:
"Thank you for working with [Firm Name]. We'd love to hear about your experience. If you have a moment, please leave us a review on the platform below."
You can also set up reminder messages to send a few days later if the client hasn't reviewed yet. TrueReview tracks who has reviewed and who hasn't, so reminders only go to clients who haven't left feedback.
Step 2: Create the Zapier Automation
Now you'll connect Confido and TrueReview through Zapier.
1. Log in to Zapier
Go to zapier.com and sign in. Click "Create" to start a new Zap.
2. Set Your Trigger: Confido Payment Processed
Search for "Confido" as your trigger app.
Select the trigger event: "Payment Processed."
Connect your Confido account when prompted. Zapier will ask you to authenticate with Confido. Follow the prompts and authorize the connection.
Test the trigger. Zapier will pull in recent payment data from your Confido account so you can see what information is available.
3. Set Your Action: True Review Request
Click "Add Step" and search for "TrueReview" as your action app.
Select the action: "Create Review Request"
Connect your TrueReview account. Authenticate with True Review in Zapier.
Map the fields:

Client Email (from Confido payment data)

Client phone (if using SMS)

Client Name
-
Campaign (select the campaign you created in TrueReview)
4. Test the Zap
Zapier will run a test using recent data from Confido. Check your TrueReview dashboard to confirm a test review request was created.
5. Turn It On
Once you've confirmed the test works, click "Publish" to activate the Zap. The automation is now live.
Step 3: Monitor and Optimize
Track Your Review Rate
TrueReview provides analytics on how many clients received review requests, how many clicked, and how many left reviews. Check this regularly to ensure the automation is working and to identify which review platforms generate the most engagement.
Test Different Messages
TrueReview allows A/B testing of your email and SMS templates. If you notice low click-through rates, try different subject lines or message copy to see what resonates with your clients.
