We are thrilled to announce that Confido Legal has received the Juniper Gold Award for Embedded Finance Payments from Juniper Research, a respected analyst firms in the fintech and payments space.
Juniper Research's Embedded Finance Award evaluates companies that are meaningfully advancing how financial services are integrated into non-financial products and platforms. The category is broad, but the bar is high. Judges look for real-world impact, technical depth, and genuine innovation in how money moves through digital experiences. For us, that means rethinking how law firms collect payments and disburse funds to clients.
Legal is one of the last industries where core financial workflows are still largely manual. Attorneys generate invoices, then someone on staff follows up to collect. Retainer balances drop, and someone has to call the client to replenish them. Settlements resolve, and clients wait days for a check that has to be printed, signed, and mailed. None of this is the fault of the firms. The tools they use to manage cases, documents, and billing were not built with modern payment infrastructure in mind. The payment layer was always an afterthought, handled outside the system, often by hand.
Embedded finance changes that. Instead of asking firms to bolt on a separate payment tool, we build payment capabilities directly into the software they already use every day. That means payments and disbursements happen inside the workflow, not alongside it.
Past Juniper award recipients include Marqeta, Lendflow, Paymentology, and Apiture, companies that have helped push embedded finance forward in their own verticals. We are glad to see legal getting recognized as a space where this kind of infrastructure can make a real difference.
Awards are not what drive the work. What does is hearing from a firm that their staff got hours back each week, or that a client received their settlement funds without waiting on a paper check. But recognition like this is useful for one reason: it helps signal to law firms that this is not a pitch or a roadmap item. Embedded finance in legal is working today, and firms do not have to keep managing payments manually.
