What are ACH Bank Transfer Limits?

This article explains what ACH Bank Transfer Limits are and how they are applied for Confido Legal users.

When you set up an account with Confido Legal to accept Bank Transfers (ACH Payments), we are required to establish initial limits per transaction and per 15-day rolling period. These limits ensure your firm can support potential refunds, returns, or disputes for Bank Transfers.

There are two types of limits associated with Bank Transfers.

  • Velocity Limit Per Payment. This is the maximum amount a client can submit in one payment.
  • Velocity Limit Per 15-day Rolling Period. This is the maximum total amount that can be processed within the last 15 days.
  • Count Limit Per Day. This is the number of payments allowed per day.
  • Count Limit Per 15-day Rolling Period. This is the total number of payments allowed over the last 15 days.

Your firm's limits depend on the financial history demonstrated in the bank statements submitted during your application process.

If you're new to Confido Legal or an existing client and you want to know your specific ACH limits, you can contact support@confidolegal.com for this information. To request an increase in your limits, please send your most recent 3 bank statements to support@confidolegal.com.
