How can you send money through Disbursements (Pilot)?

You can send money through Confido Legal via Disbursements (Pilot).

 

Accessing Disbursements

We're excited to unveil our latest feature: Disbursements!  Currently in pilot, firms can now send money to clients or vendors using Confido Legal's platform.  

  • During the pilot program, Disbursements is only available in the Confido Legal UI.

  • This brand new feature is only available in our new Confido Legal App.  You can sign into the new app using your same username & password as before.

  • Once you log in, you'll see a Send Money tab on the left side where you can access Disbursements.

Recipients can add Bank Accounts in two ways:

  1. Plaid

  2. Manually

 

Recipients can receive Disbursements in two ways

  1. ACH Bank Transfer
  2. Push to Card

 

Please note that sending Disbursements carries some risk because you are sending funds from your account.  Here are some best practices as you send Disbursements to clients or other recipients:

  1. Only send Disbursements to those you know. Once Disbursements are claimed, you may not be able to get the funds back.
  2. Treat Disbursements like sending cash.
  3. Confirm your client's or recipient's contact information. The client or recipient must verify their email address as part of claiming their Disbursement. You will want to verify you have the correct email on file for that client or recipient.
