Webinar Replay: Zapier 101 for Law Firms

by Dan Lear of Confido Legal
Key Takeaways
Zapier helps law firms connect the software they already use and automate routine tasks without custom development.
Effective automations begin with a clear trigger and action, followed by testing to confirm the workflow performs as expected.
Built-in filters, timing rules, logic, and data formatting give firms more control over when and how automated workflows run.

With our recently announced Zapier integration, we at Confido Legal are excited about the power of automation - and especially automated payments - for lawyers and law firms.

While Zapier is technically a no-code development platform, as defined on Wikipedia as a platform that "allows programmers and non-programmers to create application software through graphical user interfaces and configuration instead of traditional computer programming," it still has a modest level of complexity, especially for folks with very little background in programming.

To help legal professionals embrace their inner Zapier programmer, we held a 30-minute webinar called Zapier 101 on March 25, 2021. The goal was to introduce lawyers and law firms to the Zapier platform and to explain how Zapier workflow automation can deliver significant efficiency gains in law firm processes. We recorded this 30-minute hands-on learning session and recently posted it on our YouTube channel. Find it here.

We covered:

  • Selecting tasks to automate
  • Triggers and actions
  • Testing
  • Zapier's built-in filtering, timing, logic and data formatting

Again, you can find the replay here. We hope it's helpful!

Our excitement isn't limited to video. We just released a podcast on how to use Zapier and our ultimate guide to automating legal payments on Zapier on the Financially Legal blog. Check them out!
